Colorado’s business leaders expect the state’s economy to expand in the second quarter.
That’s according to the latest Leeds Business Confidence Index, a survey of 240 panelists from across the state by the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, released today.
The majority of panelists (about 54 percent) said they think that the state economy will expand in the second quarter and about a third were neutral.
Regarding the the recent tax overhaul, some respondents said they plan to invest in equipment, which is a good thing, said Leeds School Business Research Division Executive Director Richard Wobbekind.
“We really need higher capital investment to get more productivity and higher wage growth. That’s something that’s really been missing from the economy,” he said in a statement.
